PENTAGON

Cube Entertainment

Debuting in 2016 under Cube Entertainment, PENTAGON was introduced as a complete "self-producing" idol group, with members like Hui and Kino quickly establishing themselves as prolific songwriters and producers. Their musical identity is defined by a versatile, genre-blending approach, seamlessly shifting from the bright, viral funk of their breakthrough "Shine" to darker, cinematic concepts like "Daisy" or the emotive pop of "Do or Not." This artistic range is anchored by their powerful vocal line, led by main vocalist Jinho and producer-ace Hui, and complemented by a sharp rap unit and dynamic performers. Key eras such as the "Shine" phenomenon and the critically acclaimed "Universe" series showcase their growth and ability to craft anthems that resonate both commercially and artistically.

On stage, PENTAGON is renowned for their synchronized, energetic choreography and a palpable sense of camaraderie, often incorporating theatrical elements and raw emotion into their performances. Their dedicated fandom, Universe, is integral to their story, famously organizing a successful fan-led campaign to secure their first music show win for "Daisy," a powerful testament to their mutual bond. The group matters in the K-pop landscape not only for their hit-making ability but as resilient artists who navigate the industry's pressures with authenticity and creative control. Through member solos, unit projects, and consistent group output, PENTAGON has cemented a legacy of heartfelt music and a genuine connection with audiences that transcends trends.
