Off The Record / Swing Entertainment
THE STORY
IZ*ONE debuted in 2018 as the ambitious, 12-member project group formed through the survival show "Produce 48," a collaboration between Korean and Japanese idol industries. Managed jointly by Off The Record and Swing Entertainment, the ensemble—featuring members like Kwon Eunbi, Miyawaki Sakura, Jang Wonyoung, and Choi Yena—crafted a distinct musical identity centered on elegant, orchestral pop. Their rise was marked by instantly iconic releases such as the debut *La Vie en Rose* and the triumphant *Fiesta*, which defined an era of lush, cinematic production and cohesive storytelling. Each comeback refined their signature "IZ*ONE style," blending youthful grandeur with emotional depth, which solidified their status as chart-toppers and award-show fixtures.
Renowned for their precise, large-scale synchronized choreography and visually stunning concepts, IZ*ONE's performances were spectacles of unity and grace. Their dedicated fandom, WIZ*ONE, supported them through immense commercial success and the poignant reality of their predetermined, limited-time contract. The group’s legacy matters for its groundbreaking transnational collaboration, proving the viability of a unified K-pop and J-pop project on a massive scale. Even after their 2021 disbandment, their influence endures, having set a high watermark for thematic cohesion and theatrical stagecraft in girl group eras.
